floating the gears

So I have a problem. I drive a semi for 8-14 hours a day and I am finding myself shifting without the cluth. Even though I don't grind, is it still bad for the synchros?

If you can float the gears without crunching in this gearbox, you're probably not working the synchros all that hard!

The syncros will resist you putting it in gear if you push them too fast they will tell you.

I don't shift fast when I do it simply because I don't shift too fast in the rig either. The synchro's just work for a sec and then it falls into gear... I just wanted to make sure I am not damaging it since I have a very difficult time when I drive a rig around for 10ish hours and I only spend maybe 20 minutes driving to/from work.

Thanks for the swift replies everyone!
