Flooded again, help restarting
This summer, our 8 got flooded because someone moved it out and back in the garage that wasn't aware that it needed to warm up before shutting it off. They got it darn good and flooded trying to start it back up later on and it took me and a couple of friends several hours to get it restarted. Not long after, the CEL's came and went and we did a full tune-up on it and I also just put a new battery in it since then.
Tonight, it got flooded again when my daughter had to stay at school late and went and moved it closer to the school so it would be closer when she got done. She went through the flood restart procedure 3 or 4 times before giving up on it and calling me. I am having no luck getting it to start. Instead of turning over it just makes a monotone sound. It seems to be turning strong but isn't the normal sound. It did the same thing last time and we persisted in trying to start it while it was jumped to another vehicle. I jumped it tonight but it isn't helping. Any suggestions on how to possibly get it to start easier this time? Should I keep retrying without pushing the gas pedal anymore at all - or the opposite?
