flooded rotary?

so while i change my stereo that is spazing on me, i come to realize the car doesn't start anymore.....

Mazda said engine was flooded and wanted to run some tests, i said no to the $1k compression tests and told them to unflood the engine.

HOW DOES A ROTARY GET FLOODED RANDOMLY?
I MAY HAVE LEFT THE KEY IN ON POSITION FOR A WHILE when i was messing with the stereo is this a possibility???????

BTW ( MAZDA DEALERS ARE RIPOFFS!!!)

Dealer: ye the cell says you have a leaking water pump, and engine misfire so we want to do a compression test which will cost 1100, change your cables and plugs for 850 and a new water pump for 450, plus your aftermarket intake may be causing this problem.

Me: dont bs me just unflood the engine and get it started = $300
