it keeps flooding? What 'de-flood' method are you using?
year?
miles?
any substantial modifications to the vehicle?

I take it to the dealership and they keep telling me that I am not letting it warm up which I always do. This is the fourth time it has flooded and the mechanic says that rotary engines have this problem.

You likely have a weak ignition, either because of failing plugs, failing coils, failing battery, and/or failing/weak starter.
The RX-8's "flooding when cold" issue is largely solved with updated flashes, and really only happens when the ignition is weakened by one or more failing components.

do you have the invoices of the 4 times you've gone to the dealership for this issue? I'd like to know what was done to correct the issue.
did they replace any parts?
plugs, starter, battery ???

^ and generally if your plugs are bad, your coils are too. I haven't seen a single report on here of plugs needing to be replaced for reasons other than fouled due to flooding (or racing applications, but that isn't the issue here), and nearly every flooding issue in the past few years is weak ignition, either from the starter or failing coils. Normally coils.

hey guys, maybe someone here can give me some advice... my car is an 04 with 75k on it and it has flooded for the first time... my bad, I moved to from one side of the street to the other to avoid getting a parking ticket, lesson learned... my plugs are out and fouled crazy from being flooded (to be expected), my question is how do I clear out all the residual fuel and oil so that I'm not putting clean plugs right back into a flooded engine... note that I tried the deflooding procedure prior to pulling my plugs, I even pulled the fuse to the fuel pump to make sure... is there some kind of spray or something I can buy to make sure there's no crystalized residue left in the trichoidal chamber? can I just turn it over a few times with the spark plugs removed and the fuel pump fuse removed to blow out any excess?

i can NOT believe that this thread is not getting flamed left and right... people really need to learn the search method... i am pretty sure flooding is the most searched for topic on our beloved website and there is more information on it than there is in some school books. SEARCH
