That isn't as bad as the type of dream where you dream that you're in your office working for 8 hours. Then you wake up, exhausted from all that work, and have to go to work.
The upside to that, is I've actually resolved many code problems that I was stumped while awake.

I've also been able to resolve many computer problems while dreaming, as well as other logical problems. You think about it until you go to sleep, then all of the sudden you wake up, do one or two things, and it's fixed.

The dream-like state between sleep and consciousness is the best suited arena for logical problem solving and creativity. It is during this semi-conscious "nidra" that brain activity is not preoccupied with nerve impulses from the optal plexes (sight), most audio plexes (sound) stimulation or touch sensories. It is also referred to as FOCUS.
At any given time, our brain is processing anywhere from 8 to 26 separate, but essential thoughts. During our pre-sleep consciousness, we direct full-force increased plasma endothelin levels, which promote logical reasoning, giving us a "grey area" of super-concentrate ambience.
Many writers, inventors and artists come up with their best work during this time and often keep notepads and/or recording devices on the bedstand for just such occasions.
