Floor Heating.. Observations?
As the weather has gotten colder (between 10-25F) recently I have noticed that the floor heating on the drivers side doesn't seem that impressive. It's doesn't seem like alot of heat gets blown out, and what does seems to be significantly concentrated of the right foot/accelerator area.
Anyone else experience this?

I have notice it takes some experimenting to get the heat set just right for up, down, and both passengers.
Has every one notice the trunk is very warm, even when the outside temp is in the single digits? I can only imagine what it will be like in the summer. Maybe that is why they put in the little door to the trunk, to run an AC line into.

I blocked the under-seat vents about halfway or a little more with some tape which greatly increased airflow out of the front floor vents. You might have good success with that.
The trunk gets hot probably because of the large exhaust resonator located right underneath it.

I'm having heat problems as well, especially at the temps we're getting now, today it was -33 Celcius (-27F). I can't get the cabin up to a comfortable temperature no matter what in these conditions. The floor heating on the drivers side is more like a warm fan, barely any heat at all. I've found that anything colder than -20C I can't get the inside of the car warm enough, I'm going to take it up with my dealership next time I take the car in and I've also found that I'm getting condensation in both headlights and tail lights, so thats one more thing for them to check out.....I could also really use a block heater in these conditions......

I haven't noticed any problems with the heat, floor or otherwise, and it's been a very nasty winter here in the Northeast. In fact, I can't remember the last time I turned the fan up past the second setting... gets too hot in the cabin when I do. Of course I'm not dealing with Canadian temperatures... the coldest it's been in my area has been around 5F.
The one thing I have observed is that heat is much weaker when you're zooming along the highway at 80 as opposed to idling along in stop and go traffic, but that happens in most cars and it doesn't make a significant difference in overall cabin temperature.
Weren't there a number of posts a few months ago from people complaining that the floor area was too WARM due to insufficient shielding of the engine department?

Here is a tip to get more efficiency from the windshield defroster when you get spray icing on the windshield. Ready? Put the visors DOWN. This will cause the air to circulate across the windshield longer and it will warm the windshield faster. (This is an old trucker trick.) Try it. It works very well.
