I don't believe for a second that a couple bolt ons and a 55 shot transforms the RX-8 into a low 13 second car capable of trapping over 100mph.

You had a chance to find out firsthand, Ike, but you turned that down. Maybe I am saying that the cars I listed aren't as quick as you think they are.

Apparently intake and exhaust increased top speed by over 10 mph, in addition to increasing torque to over 500.

I did, when? I don't have to "think" anything. I have actual numbers and data that have been repeated time after time while you have what sounds like nothing more than some silly street racing stories.

Going with Ike here... Can a 55 shot and boltons will get you the 10 mph of trap you'd need to take on some of those cars from a roll?
The Car and Driver article about the ProTech RX8 with a claimed 390 crank hp only trapped 109mph (13.5 second quarter) and did 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. For example, that's the kind of power you'd need to fight off an LS2 GTO that regularly traps 107mph bone stock and does 0-60 in 4.7 to 5.0 seconds.
Plain and simple, a 55 shot of N2O and boltons doesn't equal 390 crank hp. I don't think anybody will argue about that.

oh and here's the link to that article since it seems like many have forgotten about it... at least it has measured numbers for 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

found it...looks like you can get good times as long as you try and hold back on your launch to prevent wheelspin.....

I think I'm mis-understanding your definition of the phrase "Trapping" I, in other words..., can be speed trapped... on a freeway at 165 mph... without much effort... What are you guys talking about?
*chuckles as everyone looks at him like an idiot*
*OOOOH you mean Speed trap at the end of a 1/4 strip... Oh... **** my bad LMFAO... Ha... Couldn't tell ya haven't been to the strip yet*

It was a peaky and I would imagine it was a fairly laggy beast...
NOW...
If you review the article...they had issues with wheelspin AND they used a staggered setup which leads me to believe it really wasnt optimized for anything...other than looks and street performance...
That said...its not really a good representation of the greedy kit which was tuned for little lag but again pretty bad once it got to its flow limitations...
The MM upgraded snail on the other hand when you look at the graphs you can tell basically puts out the power early...and keeps it up...
With juice...its effectively the same type of power delivery...its steady and available as long as its flowing...
Bench racing is gay simply because alot of context is lost in translation...
