Former Audi S4 owner just bought an RX-8
Well, after blowing up my S4 two weeks ago (Stage II+, which means chip, exhaust, downpipes--as well as coilovers and short shifter--345 hp, 370 ft. lb torque) I finally decided on the RX-8. I loved the S4, especially after I modded it, but I love the RX-8, although in a much different way. Even with all of the mods, the S4 was still a very refined, incredibly powerful highway cruiser-- a real stealth machine. But the RX-8, while obviously less refined, is a lot more fun and more "connected" to the visceral experience of driving. I'm looking forward to the next few years of commuting!

Wow, a lot of former audi owners jumping over to rotaries. They are a lot less expensive to maintain . I had a 1 bar APR chip in my A4 and it was great. Worked flawlessly, loved being able to switch boost/programs on the fly with the cruise control switches. APR does pretty good work. Too bad a timing belt on that car was almost as much as an engine for my FD. It was a nice car to drive, but not nearly as fun/tossable as the mazdas. Hated the Quattro though normally. Nice in the rain, but caused too much understeer at the track/autocross.
345 seems right for a 1 bar chip and full exhaust
