Question Forza Motorsport's RX8 Setup

Anyone have a good setup for the RX8 on Forza Motorsport. I'm trying to put one into ever class that I can. But I want the Automatic to have the same gear ratios as if I were switching in Manual mode. Automatic switches at about 9k but if I use Manual, I can switch at 10k. Anyone have a good setup all together including Gear Ratios? Thanks :D

Right Now They Are:

1st: 3.77
2nd: 2.28
3rd: 1.65
4th: 1.19
5th: 1.00
6th: 0.84

Final Drive: 4.45

I have a really tricked out 8 in Forza but have found that car simply is not competitive in this game. In it's given class, I get spanked by civics. Most of the cars are in the game for posterity's sake.

Really tricked out RX8 getting beat by Civics in Forza? I won the extreme power championship with a fully equipped RX8 @ 650+ HP (classified as an S2 car), beating out S1 cars like the Enzo and TVR. When I detuned the car to race in the 600HP class I did have trouble with the Saleen S7, but I killed that car in the more open classes. The little Mazda is superbly agile against the bigger cars.

Are you guys swapping the 20B on your RX-8's? I found out that the 20B, although it gives more power, it made the car much harder to drive. I hated it. I settled for the fully modified stock engine and beefed up the suspension settings. It could easily hang with a fully modified Elise :D I use the Tsukuba track as a comparison for every car I have.

20B swapped S2 class rx8 is competive. There are cars that trounce on it, mine's skyline, souped up 'vette, s7, etc.

I can honestly say that of all my cars, my best handling is my S7, and my second best handling is my modded RX8. That says alot.

Just like IRL, curves make the differance.

Did you guy do your own gearing? Or adjustment to the shocks and sway bars?

The 20B swap has less max HP, in the 550 range I believe. I thought there might be more torque, but the fully modded Rennesis has it beat there too.

I do modify the stock gearing and suspension settings but I don't have them memorized. The biggest gain in handling is to switch to the Forza style aero piece so you can dial in more down force. I usually raise the tire pressure to 32, and lower the car a bit. From there I'll mess with the diff to control oversteer, the swaybars to put a little push in the car (easier to control), and the spring and shock rates if the car is too bouncy, or doesn't react well. I use the benchmark option to test for max G's and then test drive at a track where I know my times. From there I will tune from race to race depending on what I need. This is especially true for gearing.

I love this game. I don't really set up cars to much anymore. Just lower them, bump up the spring rates and change the diff settings. Then off to the winners circle. I generally start rooms that you can't use the uber cars in, so cars like the 8 are decently competitive.

That is all.

I like upgrading the mazdaspeed 8 instead of the regular 8. You can put a turbo and such on the mazdaspeed version and actually is better than the 20b swap.

Good point Mike, I forgot to say that you have to pick the Mazdaspeed version to get turbo and hence the full HP.
