Found a little plastic thing in my car... what is it?



Found this thing in my center console. Is this a part of the car? Or just some crap the last owner left behind.

omg ... I have the EXACT same piece of plastic that I've been keeping from throwing out for about 6 months now... and it too came from my center console lol.

It's the slider from the console lid...
there is 6 of them I think...look for the missing one

That was it! It slides a little more smoothly now. A little piece of a slider was actually broken off; I'm thinking of using some CA (superglue) to repair it.

Mine came off, too. And I'm the one always boasting about how my 8 doesn't have any problems. Guess I can't say that anymore.

I'll have to take a look at mine today (Its been sitting in my ashtray for literally months) and use some CA if appropriate.

I think they are suppose to break. I remember reading somewhere that after a short period of ownership, the console lid is suppose to slide forward by itself so that way it holds the drink tight against the cupholder wall or closes the console altogether.
