Free Touch Up Paint from Mazda!
I just received a thank you letter from Mazda for the purchase of my "8" and it had a free bottle of touch up paint in the bag too!...Those guys are big spenders! Wish I had known so I would not have already bought one...lol

Yep, got mine last week. I too had just purchased some from the dealer (for $7, ouch!). I got it in a neat steering wheel shaped "box". The box makes a decent little stand for my 1:18 model.

I got my touch up paint in a fancy black plastic container 5 months ago. It's a good thing because I've already had to use it due to a big ding from an unknown source on the front left fender.
I thought my dealer had it sent to me and not Mazda, but I could be wrong. My impression is that they were advertising their parts department where you can buy stuff like paint, filters, etc.

Pre-ordered last May, and I have yet to recieve any touch up paint in a wheel box or not. I have this feeling that Mazda doesn't love me.

Got mine sometime before Christmas. They got the color right.
On the subject of surveys, I certainly have gotten a pile of them. To date, I've received 4 from independant companies and one from Mazda. Naturally I answer very positively...especially on questions regarding handling and satisfaction.

Haven't got any paint yet but I can tell you I definitely need it. I have so many micro-chips in the paint do to small pebbles etc it ain't funny.
The touch up paint works well - just make sure you shake it up really well, keep the bottle at a reasonably warm temperature before applying and use a very small artist brush not the one that comes with it.

I've been wingeing about this in I think now over five threads and for several months, and now I have to stop. They sent me the stupid touch-up paint. To be quite honest, I was hoping that they never would. I was hoping to be able to complain about this twenty years from now as I describe the total rebuild that I will be doing on the car.
As for the survey thing, well, they did send it after I returned the survey. I returned the survey the third week of October, and there are many others who got their paint before me who recieved their car long after me so I have no idea. I think that the real problem is that my dealer is quite small and it is of little import to MNAO.
So here I am the happy owner of a little bottle of yellow touch up paint. Yah.
