Free Touch Up Paint from Mazda!

Haze, If the maker (who I am not really familiar with--I know more Swiss watchmakers than German) was comparable to either Concord or Ebel, etc. the watch was probably worth it for its complications, movement and saphirre (sp) back, but as far as styling, that is up to you. I like to find expensive watches at bargain prices so 2K ain't cutting it. The other thing is spending that much money for a watch that you never have felt the weight and quality. I'd be hard pressed to do that.
Anyway, I expect the paint to be my first and last little gift from Mazda, other than the joy of driving two fun rotaries.

I got two. One in the fancy wheel and the other in a plain padded envelope. I would rather had gotten the ECU flashed back to the EPA first test.

Hey, I had just about given up on getting the touch-up paint from MAZDA (since its been almost 4 months since I bought the car), but yesterday in the mail I got a thank you letter signed by both Mazda NA and the dealer I bought the car from with the touch-up paint! How 'bout that.
I did take them up on their suggestion to email Mazda NA customer service anytime with my comments, questions, or concerns and asked why I got no warning from the dealer about the OEM tires, the flooding issue, and the MPG issue. We'll see if they respond.

You could be right about the watch. I just looked at a picture of it, and I really just can't see the reason for it, but I really don't know. I mean a $2,000 watch to me had better be able to go to the fridge, get me a beer and put my slippers on so I am absolutely the wrong person to ask. Most of my watches are ancient Hamilton pocket watches. Modernity ain't my thang.
I have a feeling that the touch-up paint is the last love that I too will be feeling from Mazda. Oh well, that's what I have a girlfriend for.
Have a good one - H

I bet I know why I didn't get the paint...I did the survey but attached a grumpy note to it explaining the poor performance of the dealership's vehicle prep folks (45 PSI cold per tire? Downright dangerous).
Anyway, I now expect a gallon can of purple exterior wall paint (latex) in the mail from my dealer with directions to apply it liberally to the hood with a 4" brush. Should look good!

So, did I. How many months after the guys who ordered in the same group as me? Well, I don't care. I'm just happy to have it. I need it to paint the holes that I have to drill in order to install the spare tire kit.

I have 3 bottles of paint. One came with the car, second came in an envelope, and the third came in that steering wheel box. I think Mazda is trying to say we are going to have paint trouble :D. HOPE NOT!
