Front license plate: which side? (USA only)

Hey everyone, I'm mounting my mandatory front license plate offset, so that it will hang on the driver or passenger side of my 8. Aesthetically, which side looks best? And why do you prefer that side?

(And do me a huge favor? I just want your opinion on which side looks best. Not interested in hearing about how it looks best without it (agreed), how you keep it on the top of your dashboard, how you prefer a folding plate that disappears, how front plates are ugly, how front plates are stupid, how it's worth paying a ticket every now and then to run without it, etc. Nope. Just want to know which side you think looks best – and why. Thanks!)

Unless there is some sort of asymmetry to your particular '8, I don't see how left or right would be different.

That said, passenger side makes it less visible when parked on the street if you care about that sort of thing.

I put mine on the driver side, made my own bracket with 1" bar aluminum stock. The only reason I put mine on the driver side is since I don't have anything to hide, and with the patrol cars now have cameras that scan your plates as soon as they pass you, I'll have less chance to be stop (not an exact science, just my personal opinion). Looks the same in both sides.
Mine locks on the bumper by pinching the bottom lip, I was against drilling holes in the bumper. I also wanted to avoid blocking air paths to the oil coolers or radiator (placebo effect).

Any pictures of your bracket? I'm planning on doing mine the same way. Looks so much better than the stock location.

Quick pictures, cold outside. Under $20 and less than an hour. Make sure to add foam or rubber to the part that holds into the bumper so it holds firm.

Just don't put it in the windshield, whenever I see that on cars I cringe. At that point you might as well not bother as you are getting a ticket in most places anyway... not to mention its very dangerous

I have been running no front plate for a few months without a ticket, fortunately I think the cops in my area have better things to do.

My vote is for driver side though.

My car was registered as a truck by the dealer. Only one plate arrived in the mail. :D
