Future of the RX-8

Hey guys (generic for guys and girls), does anyone know if the RX-8 is a big money-maker for Mazda? Is Mazda a viable part of Ford? Will the 8 most likely remain in production for the forseeable future? So many questions!

It's not a loser for them even though it's not on target with the original goals ( The 8 that is). Mazda's so viable for Ford that they are using them as a guide for their turnaround strategy for the parent company. I think they're calling it the Mazda plan now or something. Of course they are taking proper advantage of architecture and platforms that Mazda can provide and it seems to be quite helpful. Also the 8 isn't going anywhere anytime soon, that I've heard of anyway.
Paul.
