General Discussion
So i just got a new 2004 rx8 its black and it has 42k miles. i love this car the only bad thing is the ridiculously horrbile gas mileage, i have never seen such bad gas mileage on a 4cyl car in my life. i have a greddy exhaust on the car which i was told adds about 20 hp so my car is running around 250+ hp. does anyone know the 0-60 and quarter mile times on a stock? i havent gotten it to the track yet. i was also wondering about chips and things i can put in the engine. if anyone knows any good parts that i can put in it to get more hp or maybe get better gas mileage? just a general discussion.. thanks people, keep on cruisin'!

and it wasn't enough to just create one thread. there are two of these with the exact same post. i'm sure a mod can do an IP check and give a little ban for a few days to prevent more of these from happening.

Troll, no doubt.
A 2-chamberd rotary would be a rough equivalent to a 6-cylinder (each rotor firing 3 times per full rotation). I have a large six on my '91 Explorer (no V8 for the first couple of years) and the mileage is roughly equivalent to the Mazda- not quite as good, in fact. No complaints with my Mazda at all.
I once drove a '74 T-Bird. Nothing can get mileage as poor as that car.

hmm
haha u guys are dicks, i was high as **** when i first posted lol. I know its a rotary engine and it fires 3 times per rotation, i understand that but its a 1.3L engine and im getting prob around 14 mpg which sucks. but anywayz i just moved to Cali and i got a buddy in my apt complex that has a completely re-built 64 bmw. he re-built the entire car from bottom to top he said it has 194 hp in it. so we took it on the mountain last night and raced around the 101 and down the 2 lane roads on the mountain. the rx-8 handles very well and is really fun to drive chillin in 2nd gear. his bmw kept up with me on the 101, our top speed was about 125 but he kept up with me to prob around 110 so it was a really fun race and im liking this car a lot just kinda wish it wasnt black cuz the scratches and ect are a lot more visable to see
