@alnielsen: Thanks for handling a noob like me! Hehe. I've used the search option, but it's been a pain looking for an ideal answer, so I thought I'd just ask again in my post for personal opinions (not a good answer, but it's the truth). As to the engine, my bad. I remembered hearing something about the engine then, but I guess it's exactly what you told me. Thanks again!

@Speed_8: Always answering my questions! Thanks bro.

Here's a new question: I've been reading up on debates b/w non-synthetic and synthetic oils. I've heard Castrol GTX, and I've heard Mobil1, and all sorts of jazz. What do you all /personally/ suggest?
If you are unsure about what oil to use and wanna have a peace of mind, you can either:

1. Install SOHN adapter and use synthetic oil without fearing the oil ruining seals (not saying that it does)

2. Do a double flush with mineral oil like ash8 does every 3000 miles or so.

Looks like Grog just bought himself an 8! I'm 17 too, whoopee! First car as well...hopefully an 8. Yes, I also read that you guys like turning people *away* from the 8. That won't happen to me. I may have a lack of knowledge on the RX-8 and rotary engines right now, but before purchasing one I am definitely up for some learning. Anything from how to properly maintain it to what kind of soap to use when washing it :D

Thanks a lot for all your help guys. I may become quite obnoxious at times, but hopefully the love we all share for 8's will let you get over that and just deal with me!
