On a serious note,

does anyone else find making out in the back seat near impossible?

Don't get me wrong, I love my 8, but the centre console just doesn't work. It's the only thing that shouldn't be in the next gen of 8s.

I'll hook 'em, the 8 reels 'em in... and then what?

 

timbervolt, i am really sorry but the 8 has this futuristic design and the center console is just what it makes it a special 2+2 coupe.

i love it how it is. if i would change something that should be the nav monitor which should be the standard monitor for Radio/CD/Mp3 and should be touch screen.

I agree, a NAV touch screen should be the standard. A car computer will be a future project, made easier if someone can make a kit with options up for us. The red text line reminds me of an F-16 computer.

 

If you get rid of the rear center console, precisely where do you intend to put the drive shaft?

I've had times I wished that center console was not there ( this was in the front seat) however as soon as she debarted from the car I apologized to my car for such unclean thoughts.

 

drivers seat, she can either face you, or face the front of the car. either way, shes on top and you pop it like its hot.

its not rocket science.

+1. My favorite spot would be up against the side. It's perfect height! I find the hood a little too low..

not small, im 5'10"+ and my gf is 5'6"ish. you just have to be appropriately flexible and in good shape.
