Getting my baby back tomorrow!
My 8 is coming home tomorrow after being in the body shop for over 3 weeks. I can't wait! I'm going to take her straight to the car wash, shine her up real good, and go for a nice long 3 hour drive.
I've been driving a Ford Taurus (rental) during this time so I'm really excited that I'm going back to a real car.

I could be wrong but its easy to confirm one way or another.

I'd much rather have the Explorer. The damn Taurus doesn't even have a CD player. It also looks like a grandma car. I hope they have fun cleaning it, I haven't vaccumed or washed it since I got it.
I'll check with them and see about the cure. I'm pretty sure they said they were curing it over the weekend. They have one of those special curing rooms in the shop. They probably cleaned it themselves since they had to paint it.

Yeah, I've been told the same thing about waiting 30 days before washing / waxing...
I wrecked my '8 on 12/1 and I didn't get her back 'til 1/ 31. Two months w/o my baby! The excuse they gave me was slow parts delivery... So, I feel your pain. <g>
I also know from experience that the body shop paint jobs just aren't as durable as the factory paint.... I'd start w/ just rinses when necessary. After a month or so, then do a manual (non-automated) car wash.
Congrats on getting your baby back! Hope she's good as new!
I've had my car for just at a year now and I _still_ look forward to my commute every day!

I feel your pain as well. I am waiting on mine to come back from the body shop now as well. Since GEICO did not cover mine all mine was out of pocket and I am driving a 93 Celica auto around. Got mine back in Jan. and the body shop should have mine ready for me around the 2nd week of March!!! I am counting down now!!

I was going to pick it up today, but due to inclement weather it will probably be tomorrow or Wednesday. It's the first day of spring and it's like 30 degrees outside. The weather guy said we may even get an ice storm tonight. Screw this ****, I'm moving to Florida.

Florida's taken four hits in two years. Feels like aimed shots. You sure you wanna come down here?
