Going to have to practice with indoor lighting when using the camera....
I tried a few shots at MRTC(mazda reman training center) with the 09 rx8. Failed pretty much but here was my effort.....
Drove the Z, I took a few decent outside shots of it but I snapped one inside :P

I think your biggest issue is shakiness. If you can bring a tripod, that'd be ideal. Other than that, your white balance seems a bit off. Normally you can set "WB" to florescent, or you can fix it on PS. But that's just me being picky, awesome photos!

Camera looks out of focus on some of those. A tripod would help as well as making sure the focus area shows up where you you want it too. If you have a point and shoot, press the shutter half way down and look to see where the camera is focused. If it's not focused where you want, keep pressing the shutter half way and making slight adjustments to the camera position until your satisfied with the focus ares, then snap the shot.
The pic of the Z came out excellent however.

I love the backdrop on the first pic :-)
Photo 4 looks quite noisy, was it taken on a camera phone or with a high ISO?
I wouldn't say you've failed at all. It's all about learning and trial & error, that's the huge advantage of digital over film. You just keep trying things until it comes out right and you learn what you have to.
What camera are you using? From what I can see you just need to sort out your focusing and use a tripod. Other than that they look great.
Here's a couple of jpg's from when I decided to take some similarly themed shots

I can see your blur issue, what kind of camera is it? you need to keep your shutter speed around the same number as the lens mm. so a 55mm lens will need around a 1/50th shutter speed (55mm lens is the same view as if you close 1 eye). Now to get around this you'll need an appropriate flash or a tripod to stabilize the camera. I did a few courses in photography in college and now use a Nikon D40 with a mid-range flash and I have 18-50mm lens, 28-80mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. If you have any Q's feel free to ask.

I shot with a olympus sp 560 uz, xmas gift. I am just breaking it in and I have shot better with my older cheap camera, I just need to practice with the lighting and different settings.
I did alright with my first attempts when I got it in a parking garage, just need to practice indoors more...sorry the Z again but I will get a rx8 from work again one day to try on, it came out pretty good compared to the indoor shots.
