Good Bye to the Forum

Selling my RX-8 in 3 hours and getting a new toyota tundra. Its been fun but don't need two sports car. Keeping my 93 supercharged miata for the weekend runs in the canyon. I will sorely miss the great handing of the 8 but need a vehicle that can tow my toys and throw my bikes in the bed......
Thanks for all the fun on here !

Dan

Why not turn in some time just to give your now non bias view after owning a Rx-8, I think that point of view can help prospective buyers and present owners.

Good luck with that Toyota Tundra Now thats a hell of a Truck, but thats anpther Forum/Subject.

Yeah why not stick around? I'm seeing my 8 off in two weeks, but I'll still be here. Which reminds me, I should change my sig.

If you have to get a truck, Tundra is a good choice though. I read a cool article in Autoweek about how Toyota designers went about redesigning the truck. They went to the homes/workplaces of truck owners and watched how they used their trucks. Lots of contruction workers/contractors use pickups, so they decided to have a place to put hanging files in the center console. They noticed problems people had towing horse trailers, and changed the truck accordingly. They asked millions of questions about what truck owners want. I think it's a great way to develop a vehicle, and it's no wonder it turned out so well.

That being said, I'm not a truck kinda guy.

Good luck.

My brother has a 2006 V8 Tundra and gets WAY better mileage than my 8. He said he's averaging 20 city/ 25 highway.

Boy the rotary is thirsty.

I think the Tundra would walk off and leave us in a straight-line drag.

Haha, I'm trying to come up with a catch phrase. NoTears has the pie and "good job" and you have "CROSSFIRE!!" and "<nods>" (in response to the "good job"). Whenever my friends aren't making sense I just scream two unrelated and funny sounding things at them. It's quite amusing (at least in person).
