Good deal?

Good deal?
I just agreed to a deal on a 2007 RX-8 GT with 38k on it for $11,500. This is the first RX-8 I've ever owned, and I'm coming from a Mazdaspeed 6 and a Hyundai Sonata (which I really didn't like).
Just wondering if I got a good deal on this, I haven't seen any '07s in this price range with such low miles. Going to pick it up tomorrow!

I thought it was a great deal but hadn't been in the market very long for an 8.

Just picked it up yesterday...I've never driven an RX-8 before and I think i'll never drive a car the same ever again...absolutely amazing!
Vehicle was in great condition, engine runs strong and he took care of it.
A couple issues I wanted to ask for help here...I had a Speed6 and had problems with the Advanced Key and having similar issues with the RX-8. Batteries were dead in both keys and i replaced them. The buttons on the advanced key lock and unlock the door, but the car doesn't detect the advanced key when I try and turn the ignition over (have to use valet key). Is there something I need to do to "sync" the car to the advanced key?
Also, the heated seat lights don't go on when the switch is on...I'm guessing it could be a fuse, but just haven't checked yet. Other than that I literally can't drive the car enough!

Good luck and enjoy the car, use the sites search properly and the RX8 Club will be your friend.

LOL!! Thanks for the Yankees love guys! Hahaha! I'm actually a huge fan so I knew once I saw the car that I had no choice but to buy it.
Manual
I actually figured it out: the heated seats he had disconnected at some point (not sure why), but i opened the center console and found that they were just disconnected, and they work fine.
The key ended up being weak batteries, i bought new ones and it works fine now. The range of the remote is pretty poor, but I don't really mind that, as long as the button on the door works and i can turn the ignition i really don't care.

To answer your questions: Initially, you might have to take the car in a Mazda Dealership and have new keys made. Search for the switchblade key DIY to clarify your concern. Secondly, the heated seat's solder breaks underneath (commonly, the switch itself) in time causing it to not work. There is a DIY for that, as well.
Good luck and enjoy the car, use the sites search properly and the RX8 Club will be your friend.

I think the price on that car was a great deal.
So, is your key the same as the keyless entry? Mine went dead and mazda ended up replacing the keys plus the module . I kept changing batteries and the problem kept coming back - until they replaced the system under warranty.

The car isn't 100% perfect, it has a dent in the driver's door that I think I can get out relatively cheap and also has a big circular scratch on the hood - looks like someone keyed it. I think you can see it in one of the pictures, but even still I can't say enough about this car. It is hands down the most enjoyable car I've ever driven and I receive compliments on it daily!
