Good news for switchblade key users

Trying to get this thread moved to the lounge?
I don't think the key should pose a problem at airports. Probably a case of an overzealous inspector and a passenger with too much 'tude.
When I got my 2005 key off EBAY, it came with a cut key portion. I needed to replace it with a blank key that I had cut. So, I have an extra key portion that would probably fit someones car. Any suggestions?

Actually, there's a lot of owners out there who have had problems (not just 8 owners). They did a peice on it in the latest car & driver.
I could see one or two being attitude based. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I'd be quick to anger if some barely educated overpaid bag checker told me I couldn't bring the ($150-$300) key to my car onto a flight. Sorry, I just don't have much confidence in the TSA. Two TSA agents I've talked to could barely speak english, I had to ask for a supervisor to translate (this was at Denver International).
Heck, you could use the shoulder strap of a laptop bag to strangle someone. Give it a couple of months, we won't be allowed to have shoes with shoelaces, we'll all be wearing TSA issued booties and have to check our shoes or let them get confiscated. I think this airport security thing is starting to go a bit to far.
Is the '06 key going to be the "pocket key", I saw a thread a while back with a rumor about doing the new key mercedes benz style where you don't have to pull it out of your pocket. They'd have a hard time confiscating that one! :D
