Goodbye, RX-8 Club! | Bought a 330
hey now! it's been great spending time on the site--i learned a ton.
the rx was just a little too thirsty for me. in my quest to find a performance car with good gas mileage, i came across a certified bmw 330i sport with just 14k miles (and a bumber to bumber warranty and free maintenance until 2012 or 100k miles).
the power delivery is quite similar to the rx.. pulls in a linear fashion to around 7K RPM.
plus, it's a four-door (convenience) and gets 29 mpg on the highway. got it for $30k.
Peace!

No need to leave completely unless u got a big head and think the 330 is better than the 8.
Hell I dont have mine no more and I am still here.
I dont have my SRT-4 no more and i still stay on srtforums
I dont have my Solstice and I am still on that site.
Its about the friends u make and not just the car!

Great choice with the service included. Please let us know how "thirsty" your new ride is after a few tanks come back OK? Enjoy!!

My car choices came down to the 2004 RX-8 and the 2002 330Ci. The 330Ci is a great car, but i'm very glad i decided to get the 8. It's much more rare on the road, stands out, and is very unique. But have fun with the 330i. It's definitally more practical.

I heard BMWs subtract 63% of your driving ability on public roads. Good luck!

Maybe feels that way but the 330i is much faster then a RX-8 and definitely an upgrade in motor vehicles of course it cost more too. I guess not though a 07 - 08 GT RX-8 will cost you $33k so you did make a great deal.
Just because you drive a high and mighty BMW don't mean you have to leave come back and tell us what she does or the differences you notice between the two performance, driving thrill and curb side appeal.
