Goodbye to the RX-8 club
Well after 88,000 miles I decided to sell my RX-8. I had many good times with my car and many not so good times. I found this forum to be a great source of information, and was glad to be a part of it. I will miss the meets, although it has been a while since I have gone to one. Good luck to everyone and their cars. I will be over at the Audi World Forums.

The TT is nice but it will never handle like the 8. Although I do like it very much so I am not putting it down by any means. I wish you luck with it. Only thing I dont like about the TT is its not rwd hehe.

Maybe he just wanted something different sheesh. Unless its like an M3 or something half the people on here just bash you.
I don't think I'll even bother posting my new car whenever I sell my 8.
Congrats on your new ride, beautiful car, and I hope you enjoy it.

2 people made a reference to the fact that its an overpriced GTi (which is true) but no one really insulted him......

I sold my 2004 RX-8 GT for $10,500. The TT is far from a 2x priced GTI, although they share the same engine. Have you priced a loaded GTI? I have driven the GTI, not what I wanted. I paid 31k for the TT; it is CPO and had 6200 miles on it when I bought it. I am not going to track the car, it is fun to drive ask brillo he has driven it. I was just being nice and thanking everyone for the info and help I received here while I had my RX-8 and this thread gets turned in to a why did you buy that car thread. I bought it because it is what I wanted to buy. I would be happy to buy anything you wanted me to buy if you would be so nice to write the check for it.

Congrats. The TT mkII is a nice car. I like it alot. Is it FWD or Quattro? Did you consider the 135i as well? While the TT will not have the handling dynamics as the RX-8, I think if you don't exploit it in the first place, you will not miss it.

congrats on the TT. for 31k I may have waited for a 370 or test drove the 09 WRX now with 261hp and I just read car and driver ripped off a 4.7 to 60mph and 1/4mi in 13.5 at 105. thats faster than the STi, they figure the 5 speeds gearing helped out vs. the 6 speed in the STi. The spring rates are up 40% as well.
