SM is a tough crowd here tho, think I'd be better keep the 8 stock and race BS... the one I've seen race here did really dang well and was sooo quiet (really odd for a rotary)... very smooth. Not sure what is with rotorheads in Idaho but they either drag race or just parade around like a poodle, only a few of us autox, and only I did on a regular basis. If/when I get my RX8 I suspect the Kart will be reserved for its course, and the 8 for autox/road course.
I'll tell you what, everytime i drive the 8, i'm more impressed with it, especially compared to my FD. It's amazing what 10+ years in suspension design can do. If the 8 was lighter and had more power I have a strong feeling that it would give the FD a hard run for its money.

We plan on keeping the 8 stock and just using it for autocross, mainly because I can't afford to modify TWO cars , plus I don't want to invalidate the warranty on the new baby.

Look for a report in March on my comparisons between the two, I plan on running both at the first event (also going to be my wife's first autox event in the driver's seat and not running as balast for me )

man the more I hang out on this site, the more I'm convinced to tell all the EVO tempters to.... well.... you know what. I think I'll just buckle down n save all I can n buy the RX8, if nothing else it costs less for sure. I'm must say tho from what I've read I'm borderline leary to buy a used one, but if I do I have a buddy in the biz that can save me a ton.. use the savings for race tires... hehe.

Section8: plz PM me a link to your initial impression of the RX8 autox'n when ya put it together... we should be having our first one in Mar/Apr... I'll post up my first impression of my new 125cc 30ish hp shifter kart autox'n... assuming I don't have the shakes for a week
