Got my 8!!!!!
Hey guys, I picked up my car on thursday morning... God how I love it..... Since I'm not such a great manuel driver yet, my dad drove it home from the dealer... Hes jelous he wants one for himself! Lol, I'm comming around with the manuel trans and such.... No complaints except for gas mileage.... I've been shifting at 4k rpm is that ok?? Anyways, it a great car, and I'll treat her as my baby...

4K shifting is just fine, but if you want to improve gas miliage try shifting at the 3.7K range just before the 2nd fuel injectors turn on and if your just cruising around town keep the 8 in the 2.5K range and you will have no complaints with fuel economy.
With that said, once she is broken in (read Racing Beat's tips) take her to 9K at least once a week to keep the rotary nice and clean inside. To reduce the need (while the WANT to reach 9K will forever be there) to hit 9K you can use good fuel with cleaners (I use Chevron 93 myself) to keep it clean.
Anyway, Congrats and welcome!

Congrats!
As rx8wannahave said, visit www.racingbeat.com and read up on their break-in for the RX8, change your oil/Filter AT LEAST every 5k miles, Keep an eye on your Oil Lvl and top it off as need/weekly. Always let the car warm up before you really get on it (about 5-10 mins of normal driving). Make sure you leave the DSC on (if you have it) when driving in the city and stuff, it doesnt nothing for the fuel economy and doesnt limit your fun in any (legal) way.
