Got my 8 dyno'd... Does this seem right????
Maybe I was expecting a whole lot more than what it gave.... Or maybe the dyno or conditions were off..... What do you guys think?
Here's the run-down:
I live in Pembroke Pines, FL, and drove to Gainesville, FL late Friday night. Sunday afternoon, drove to Orlando, FL to Delirium Motorsports (about an hour and a half at 90 degree F, Humidity shows 44%). It was "Rotorfest." Really wasn't fest-like and I was about ready to start heading back to Pembroke Pines. Car sat for maybe 5-10 minutes before it went on the dyno. Modifications: K&N Typhoon v.2, Greddy SP2 catback, Greddy Pulley set, spark plugs changed about 5,000 miles ago, oil fluid and levels good, 35,000 miles (anything else I missed?)
Max Power: 181.56
Max Torque: 124.29
This was the first run, the other 2 runs made about 179, 180, or so. I was expecting at least 200hp, no number expected for the torque.... Does this seem correct or was it just a bad dyno? What could I do to further increase horsepower while keeping NA?
Ill link to Youtube video shortly.

Seems within the bounds of reasonable, but without the charts there's no way to tell.
190 is about all you're going to get out of a perfectly good stock RX-8, Mods usually take away power on the 8 instead of gaining, so you could loose 2-5 HP on your intake/exhaust/massive rims, and you could have 5hp of inaccuracy from the dyno, coming out to an even 190HP at the wheels.
Lets not forget your plugs have been in there a while, who knows what your coils look like, and we've no idea of your compression values either.

What did you expect, might I ask? Have you ever read anything about the power output of a stock (which yours basically is) RX8? You are DEAD ON the mark. You should count your blessings that you dont have a bad cat or bad coils.

Cat delete gives you the most bang for the buck; maybe 10hp. A tune (AccessPort) might be next.
The most I think has been shown NA is in the low 200s (220.) That is LOTS of money.
Go FI.

that sounds about average for most RX-8 owners.
I dyno'd 203whp but that's with an intake, exhaust, high flow cat, AND AccessPORT tuning.

Yeah, sounds average... compression differences between cars make a big difference too. My buddy has a 2007 which pulls stupid hard compared to mine when it was stock. A car like Jedi's with solid tuning etc isn't going to do much more than break 200 hp... Ray from BHR is like 213 or something but his motor is ported and he has a bunch of work done as well. I wouldn't feel bad about your dyno results, they are pretty typical. To see much larger numbers you would have to go some form of FI.
