Got my new Oil Pan/Sensor

I made an appointment to get my TSB taken care of at Moss Robertson in Gainesville. I dropped the car off at 9 and expected to have it back by lunch or a little after.

I had an appointment the following afternoon to get my windows tinted, but I figured it would be no problem to get my TSB done in the first day.

WRONG!!! I called the dealership at 1:30 to see about my car, and the svc writer told me they hadn't started yet. WHAT? She said they would get on it directly. I called back in an hour, and they still hadn't started on it and then she said they likely wouldn't start on it till tomorrow. WTF-over? She kindly offered me a loaner car, but I told her I had to have that car for the tint appointment. (I told her this when I dropped it off also)

I went up to the dealership to see what they were up to. I spoke to the svc mgr who told me their (1) Master Mazda guy was tied up all day and didn't get to it. He also wanted to read up on it since it was the first time for this TSB. Holy Crap, its an oil pan guys! They assured me my car would be ready before lunch the next day.

I got the call about 10:30 the next morning that it was ready. Then I had to make them understand the free scheduled maint plan so they would adjust my account. Fortunately I made my tint appointment .

The good news is the oil light seems to be fixed now. However, now I have a strange vibration / buzzing at certain rpms and engine load. Its like the car chassis hits the right frequency and something is buzzing underneath. I'm gonna have to crawl under there to find it cause Im not taking back to those yahoos.

doesnt surprise me. i took my car in for the oil pan, the seats not getting that warm/hot and poor MPG. i brought it in at 8AM and never heard from them so i called at 5:45PM and they said.

1. the seats are warmers and not supposed to get hot.

2. your MPG is bad due to winter fuel. come back in the summer if its still bad.

3. your VIN is not in the range for the oil pan(which it was).
i had to reschedule the oil pan change.

4. they said the oil was 1/2 qt low. i said i just added oil and they said it was low. i checked the dipstick when i got home and it was above the full mark to the point where the dipstick starts to get thicker. i'm sure they don't even see the tiny lines for low and full on the dipstick.

i have to bring it in next week for the oil pan change and im worried that they will mess it up. im going to have to show them the dipstick and explain the lines to them.
