Well after having my vr-4 totalled by some wreckless kid, I shopped around for another car. And today after what seemed like negotiating forever, I got my mostly new RX-8 ^_^. It's a 2004 with only 5.5k miles on it so she is practically new. Nothing tells you like you did good when you call your friend to tell her you got a new car and when you get to her house, you find out she called 4 of her friends to take a look too. And they all love it...but why woudn't they.
PS I look foward to chatting with you all about this wonderful machine...now off to dinner...so hungry.

You came from a 3000GT VR4 right not a galant VR4, right? Those things are fast but heavy. I think you will appreciate the 8's weight and road feel. Welcome

 

I also just switched from a 94 3000GT VR4 which I loved but was getting tired of fixing this or that all of the time. You will definetly miss the power and never having to worry about trying to pass someone. The Rx8 definetly has a smoother ride and seems to handle just as well and probably better than the Vr4. I'm still waiting to get the 8 out on a autocross course so I can push it a bit and really see the differences between the two cars.

I came from a 3000GT VR-4. I totally agree the car was super heavy. But she did run beautifully till her demise.
I totally agree with what you guys are saying, the rx-8 is very light feeling. It's a nice change. Compared to my VR-4 it is much easier to drive. You don't feel so tired when you are rowing through the gears AKA super heavy clutch. And for you VR-4 guys no need to wait for the rpm's to drop before going from 1st gear to 2nd gear.
Yeah, I like initial d alot. Release the new episodes already! lol
