GPS mounting idea's?
#3
I originally just used the windhshield mount and kept it low on the far left side of the windshield (on battery power). But post a rash of breakins a couple years past I now just keep it within the console, plugged into the switched aux socket. Obviously not good to look at while driving but the turn-by-turn audio is usually all I need anyway. With the volume up full I can even keep the console cover/armrest closed.

Suction cup, center of windshield below the mirror, low enough so the GPS just clears the dash. Carry a microfiber cloth to wipe off the circle when you park and stash the GPS and mount in the trunk.
A link to a dash mount was posted in your other GPS thread.

If you're going to mount ANYTHING in the car, take a look at this site:
http://www.proclipusa.com/
I got my mount from them a few years ago to mount my Creative Zen Xtra and loved it..
They have a solution for just about every device...
