Gran Turismo 4

Gran Turismo 4
I havn't played it in a while and after buying a real 8, I decided to dust it off and purchase an 8 on the game. I did and spent about $200,000 on mods. It sure was fun racing the car we have sitting in the garage ( I wish we could get the real one up to 502HP). It did pretty well too.

In the game, I have my 8 set up with a super-charger and it makes the small city courses so much more fun. Especially the small town course in france or italy, in the mountains... I race that one in photomode all the time. In the next game, I hope they will let us customize the outside of the car more, like adding the basic spoiler and the moldings... I would hold on the photos longer if they did that.

I was playing some 9-year old in some iteration of Gran Turismo and he used the best car in the game (some Ferrari) and I kept choosing progressively worse and worse vehicles. The ONLY car I lost to him in was an RX-8! I actually beat him with the Volvo SUV, the slowest car in the game. But, to be fair, I was driving it in true SUV fashion, hogging up the entire track and what not. I even PIT maneuvered his *** when he tried to pass me which is why I eventually won. He was 9, but I still feel proud of myself. He was a cocky SOB too.

I imagine the game was a knock off for xbox or game cube or even ps.
I noticed during the game a lot of understeer and oversteer was needed to get through the turns in the 8. I won the Japanese championship series pretty easily with the 8.

After checking the web, I'm pretty sure it was Project Gotham Racing 2. I used the Ariel Atom, RX-8, Toyota 2000GT, Chevy SSR, Volvo XC90, and Ferrari 360 Modena and those all match the list. I'm generally not in to racing games, but I do like driving around like an idiot when I play games like Halo and GTA.

I previously used the RX8 when I played GT4. I did pretty well for the most part but I had to have nearly perfect runs to win consistently. I eventually switched to a Skyline GTR and modified it (800+ horsepower) and I rarely lose. Because of the horsepower and all-wheel-drive, I can easily overcome mistakes. Nevertheless, I would prefer to use the RX8 and I wished it had the same modification capacity that the Skyline has.
