GT vs Sport

GT vs Sport
Thinking of purchasing a RX-8 but wanted to know if there is a big difference between the GT and the Sport. I know the GT has Traction Control & Stability Control but the sport does not. Will the sport be as good as the GT in the snow? I like to get the Sport but I live in Phila and we do get some snow. So Sport or GT?

Depends on the year. On my '06, traction and stability control were part of the sport package, which was an option on the base and part of the higher trims. In later years "sport" became the new name for base.
The 8 is not a great snow car. No matter what the year or package names, get one with traction and stability control. And do not listen to anyone who says to turn it off in the snow. Also get snow tires (or at least good all seasons) if you'll have to drive in the winter.

I drive a GS - grand sport - and it doesn't have DSC. Get winter tires and have fun in the snow. I personally thought it was a pretty good car in the winter. It's a bit light but the 50-50 weight makes it comfortable to navigate. Winter tires w/no DCS > All seasons with DSC.
