Gtech pro competition

Got my gtech competition last night and went out to do some runs but cant get the damn thing to work.

I have it set up and mounted on the windshield however in drag mode when I click ok I get the staging signal and it just stay there. Once I start moving for about 10 seconds I get the launch signal. Even if I do a rolling launch it does not seem to calculate the hpw.

It seems as though the acclimeter needs recalibrated as the instructions say however I got a piece of paper inside the box that says whaever you do dont recalibrate.

Any ideas before I recalibrate?

Thanks

It acts that way when it needs to be recalibrated. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual to the letter and you'll be good to go in just a couple of minutes.

I've had this happen to me also, even after calibrating it.
Just tilt it either alittle up or down once it's on the windshield. There's a sweet spot for it to know it's level. Took me a couple times adjusting it before it read ready to launch everytime.

I thought one of the big improvments was that it self calibrates?

Adrian, have you done any 1st gear runs? I got 140 hpw with the canzoomer. I am just trying to judge if that is on par or not.

Also what is the base weight you are using? I used 3200 lbs. I am aprox 170lbs

I sold my CZ before I got a chance to test with the gtech pro. I was getting around 150hp with the car stock. Weight greatly affects it. I have the 6spd w/ sport pkg and weighed it at a drag strip, it was 3170 with me in it ;185lbs.
Use 3155lbs if you have the same setup. If you have the GT pkg, it will weigh more. (motorized leather seat, sunroof, dvd,..etc).
