hmmm intresting.. ive brought it well into the 9K's and no beep.
i thought the rev limiter was going to shut me down at 9K but it just kept on going..
so then i read the manual.. it read something like.. reving in the "red" zone 9-10K will cause severe engine damage" <-- whatever.. anyways.. when does the fuel cut kick in?

I agree with others that sometimes I don't get a beep in in 1st but do when I hit 8500 in 2nd. So, I decided to try it in reverse and got the same result! No beep in R1 but it was loud and clear at 8500 in R2!! Thus, don't rely on that beep in 1st.
