Had to replace my radio at 27k miles.
The speakers just stopped working. The radio works fine: CD looks like it's playing, you can change the radio stations, etc.. just NO sound.
Not even from the navigation's voice.
Replacing it at Mazda at no cost to me. Strange, but oh well. The sound of the rotary has been pretty sweet for an entire week.

Since Mazda is replacing it I'm assuming they took a look and realized some wires inside were messed up and caused the blow out and not you. Well thats a bonus though.. brand new speakers all around! Did you have the base stereo or Bose?

Strange...I remember a post a while ago (couple/few weeks?), and the person just bought an 8 in northern CA....drove it home to San Diego with no radio...it sounded like the same exact problem. I think their radio turned on, but no sound from the speakers...weird

Anyway, they replaced the radio, not the speakers. I paid nothing

Nice, I was going to try to find whoever it was that had the same problem! I guess I can check that off my list
That's cool they replaced it under warranty! You should have tried to get them to replace it with a Satellite-ready one!
