Question Handbrake on- ok, im an idiot.

I stupidly took off tonight with my handbrake on, not tight, just on- and drove pretty quick for about 800 feet. I know only a little bit about cars and feel stupid for asking, but does this do anything other than wear out the brakes quicker, like affect straight line braking or anything else????
Also, another stupid one -I start and stop my car 10-15 times a day (use it for work) 90% warm starts and always warm it up prooperly. Will this constant starting cause wear on anything but the battery and starter motor and does anyone think its an issue??? If so, any tips for trying to lessen the effect of the constant starting?

wear happens mostly on startups. So if u do that a lot, I suggest you use some thicker oil.10w40 or so. Sydney snows no ?

As for Brakes, yep u just worn ur pad by a lot.

Only really true of cold starts - no special oil needed. Just drive it.

Think about how much abuse your brake pads go through when you slam on it at highway speed. Dragging the handbrake lightly for 800 ft puts *zero* wear on the pads relatively speaking.

It just wears out ur pads not a ton but I wouldn't reccommend doin it all the time...(not that u would on purpose) As for starts the first start of the day after all the oil drains down to the pan is the worse if its warm and u stop it for a couple minutes then start back up u r just fine but probably should change ur oil more frequently.....

Thanks for all the help everyone, no snow in Sydney, pretty warm all year round and only 2 cold starts a day, so this has put my mind at ease. Didn't think the handbrake was an issue but it felt like it pulled to the left when hard braking, but true, more wear on hard stops I guess - Just my imagination.
Might look into wheather a thicker oil is needed, need to do some more research, will post my results if warrented???
