I went to my dealer(Northtown Mazda) last week for service and saw 1 8 on the lot. I asked a sales guy about it and he said it was sold and it was the last '05 they had and they were not getting anymore. So yesterday I'm with a friend and he says he went to the other dealer in town and they only have 1 used '04. Hmm,I think well maybe it's beginning to be real hard to find an 8. At least here in western NY. I know about the recalls and the fire,but the 2 delers in town have 2 cars combined! It also seems like used prices are creeping up. Any thoughts?

 

FWIW I got mine yesterday in Seattle (Pinnacle Mazda) and they had 11 new 8's and one used . I also went to University Mazda (also in Seattle) on Saturday and they had 5 or 6 new 8's. Maybe it is just local to western NY.

 

37 new 05's on the lot at one of the dealers here. That's a little bit low for them. Usually they have between 50-60. Depends on the dealer.

 

When I bought my 04 in March 05, my dealer still had a bunch of 04's left. My sales guy commented that they were not getting any more until the 04's were all gone. They have just recently succeeded in selling all the 04's (I think they are officially gone). They got very few 05's and now they're inventory is pretty much depleted. However, I think they will pick right up with the 06's when they are available. I suspect this is the case with many dealers.
