Has anyone ever seen this problem?

My car is one week old today, and i never saw under the car at the dealership (picked up at night). However, i was looking to remove my front license plate when i noticed that these were broken.... my car was fresh off the boat and only has 300 miles....

Great photos but what are they of? Sorry but it's so close-up I can't tell what it's a photo of? I'm guessing it's something near the front of the car since you were removing the plate holder but would appreciate knowing what to look for on my car (just in case).....

The gap underneath the grill. Look under there you'll see those vertical plastic "supports".

But you might want to check with someone who actually owns one :p

Just went to go check mine at 11:22PM

That is like a support piece for the plastic front air dam, the one that has the rotary thing on it. That entire piece will have to be replaced...hehe, good chance for you to tell the dealer to put on some rotary accents at no charge if you don't have them already...unless you have the appearance package but it's hard to tell from the pics.

You can also take ca glue and reattach it. Only if dealer won't replace it.

Is there any scratches underneath the bottom cowling?

One of the most important forms to ask if you signed or not since you obviously do not remember is a "nighttime delivery" form which I understand in most states is now required. If you signed this form then that is why they will definitely do it for free as there is a grace period for nighttime deliveries since it is impossible to find all problems in the dark.

Have a friend who has purchased more than one new car look over your paperwork to see if you have a nighttime waiver.

From experience with Brandon Dodge in Florida we had a nighttime delivery on my wife's 2003 minivan we had this for and found several bad paint areas and they took care of it and the few other minor problems with absolutely no hassle.

Good luck.

It's not damage, therefore it's a defect. If they argue that, then ask them just how you could damage both posts without damaging the bumper?

I took night time delivery as well and didn't notice a tiny gouge on the back bumper...probably got there when they pack the cars like sardines during shipping or at the dealer storage lot. My car came straight from the storage lot so I know there was no test drive miles on it.

It's not a big deal since and it certainly wouldn't have been a deal breaker if I had seen it. Is there any way to fix stuff like that on the bumper? I guess it's better to have it on the plastic bumper then some part of the body.
