Yeah, R3 is too short for forum searches. Google, though, is happier.

I suspect hes talking about actually seeing one in person.

I have been to 2 dealerships that suppose to have R3 in stock, but its not in their showroom.

I think the reason is that, they still have quite a few of the "older" version that they want to sell them b4 showing the R3. I could be wrong tho.

I hope you get a good offer for your trade-in. In all seriousness.

Someone in the Canada forum bought an R3. And yes I saw one at my local Mazda shop. It's ok. Nothing gets me wanting to replace it over my current GT.

I've been searching for one in stock also. I too want to see, touch, and drive it before I make any decisions on what to do with my 04 GT. Each time a dealer says they have one in stock, I go there and its just an 09 standard or maybe a touring or GT.

Smile R3

They have and R3 @ a dealership in Charlottesville, Va just like the blue 1s you see online...its not all that...I like the seats but the fact that it has 5 less hp then an earlier is just not right , we need all we can get! I'll take my Shinka over it any day!

Didn't you crash your car then buy another used 8 recently? Theres no real performance upgrade in the R3 that would justify the cost ... besides you would lose a lot of money on trade in

I know the R3's wont even be available for the press for another few weeks, looking close to August. I would expect that the press cars were part of the first US shipment -- therefore pegging a couple more weeks before they appear in dealerships en masse. That is, however, just a guess.

An Australian review of the R3 got a slightly slower 0-60 time and slightly worse gas mileage. In the immortal words of Barbra Streisand, "Why botha?"

how true is this? there's a dealer in the bay area who claims to have the first r3 in the area on their showroom floor
