have a 95 rx7 now i want a rx8 have questions
hi rx8 guys i hope to be getting an rx8 in a week or so . i have a 95 rx7 right now and love it so much even though it is the biggest problem child ever lol but i love it so much i want an rx8 . a question i have is where is the cheapest place to get the greddy turbo kit ? i have looked around the vendor section but the kits are upgraded greddy kits. etc. i dont want to buy a used one . i looked around the greddy faqs thread and it seems to be a decent kit. this car wont be pushed to hard . i just need it to get the job done when it needs to =). any help on finding a kit for cheap would help out alot . thanks guys! hope to be posting pics up of my new 8 soon

okay . i know there is two stages but if im going for just a basic bolt on kit wouldnt just getting the greddy kit be fine along with wideband turbo timer n bov n boost gauge? i dont want to go over the top i have a car for that lol
also id like to do this with the least amount of money possible .
is there a link to the best place to get the greddy kit?

You need the mazdamaniac upgrade becuz the snail that comes with the greddy kit is teeny tiny
You also need the cobb accessport or interceptor-x
And it needs to be tuned by someone competent
Really I don't think a turbo kit is something you should be trying to do on the cheap
If you want it to be cheap just get the 55-shot of nitrous

wouldn't this be fine?
wouldnt that do good enough?
stop asking questions like that. you can always go cheaper and save money now, but it will cost you.
go read teh internetz, save up some money, and do it right the first time. this rule applies to EVERYTHING. Cars school women food, everything. well maybe not women, sometimes its fun to get it wrong.

The greddy will run fine up around 6 psi at most. Higher than 6 psi the power starts to drop off in the higher rpms and and the boost eventually drops back down to 6 as well. At 6 psi you will net only about 250hp. With the MM upgrade you can turn up the boost a little more. Along with the ap you'll have a very quick reliable 8. Like everybody says MM upgrade is the way to go, quicker and reliable.

BHR/MM turbo kit or Mazsport 300 series would get the job done, and cost about the same. For that matter, the Pettit SC is in the same ballpark - all around $5500 without engine management.
