Header to Midpipe gasket too small. What can i replace it with?
Just installed a new AP midpipe this weekend, Install took a few hours due to only a ratchet set and 5 broken bolts. (3 broken on the collector, 1 spring bolt, and 1 chassis/hanger bolt). I had replacements for the collector, said screw it to the chassis bracket, and bought a new spring bolt kit from napa for $15. (it didn't screw into the factory holes, as it came with it's own nut instead)
I was able to reuse the thick gasket on the back of the midpipe, but the stock small little metal ring gasket for the collector just doesn't seem to do the trick.
The 3 bolts are all tightened down, and the 2 surfaces are flat together, but it leaks.
No where lists any exhaust parts, let alone gaskets for mazda rx8.
Any idea what gasket I can use here?
