Exclamation Headlight film

I have cleaned my head lights very well. There is still a film on the inside of the light that you can see when the head light is on. Anyone know if there are any TSB for this?

Anyone know what's involved for the dealer to replace the headlight covers? I am very leary of having them disable the front nose in order to have clearer headlight covers.

How Dealer Changes Headlights

In order for the dealer to change the headlights they need to take off the entire front bumber, and disconnect the battery. If you are going to get this procedure done, be prepared to wait, it took about 4 hours when they did mine.

They replaced my headlights, changed the oil and did something else, took them about 3-4 hours total for everything.

I wouldn't worry about them swapping the headlights, what I would worry about is them correctly adjusting the headlights so the aim is perfect like it used to be. Mine wasn't done properly, and the readjustment they did still isn't exact

Well that confirms my doubts about whether I need to replace the covers or not. I need to decide if it bothers me enough to risk them messing something else up. Decisions, decisions...

the problem with the headlights not being exact is that from different angles, the color of the lens changes. So if not perfect, as you drive, one will look purple, the other yellow.
