Granted , it won't beat a Z-06,EVO, Etc....but driven properly the 8 can hold its own against others in or slightly above its class range.

As for the "bashing".
1. That was pretty tame. I'd consider it more of a discussion with some ignorant remarks.
2. Who gives a ****?

oh really, the s2000 out handles the rx8 easily and without effort

I think you've got to drive an 8 to appreicate it fully. There is nothing else like it.
If you are used to owning piston based engines like that little boy's "leet" Mustang with a 328/9(?)HP or whatevers under the hood and someone starts talking about this little mazda with 232HP you are liable to dismiss it just from the perception of the horse power. I know that the first time I mashed the pedal of a six speed MT 8 during a test drive I almost lost my jaw to the floorboard. That and my shock almost caused me to wreck it.
For the money I paid for my 6sp MT its a seriously awesome car inside and out. And for the money I am not sure there is much on the road that can touch it in performance, coming straight from the dealership and unmodified that is.

Big deal - would be boring if we all liked and drove the same car.
And the dumber they are, the more tribal they become.
Some of the guys posting in that thread obviously have waaay too much time on their hands.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the Big H...
I fear no VTEC
for I have 290 ft/lbs of torque at the rear tires!
Besides, my Mustang can drift... the only Honda which can do that is the S2000, and not even all that well judging by the professional results.

The RX8 is 4 years old and there is still nothing to compare it to but every sportscar out there. 2 seaters, big block engines, V6's. It's really a testimony to the overall balance of the car and the engineering that went into every aspect. Can you say that about the rest of these cars?

why do any of you fockers care if somebody 'hates' your car?
cause it hurts my feelings
but seriously who cares. Let them talk. It makes no difference to me whether people who i do not even know exist talk about my car.
would you trade in your girlfriend/wife cause someone said that she is slow and ugly????????

It was 105ish a few days ago, I had it on 3 (instead of 4, or else I would have been Jeremy Clarkson testing the Ariel Atom) , recirc, max cold and I was pissed. The dealership would probably say it's normal, but I'll ask them about it. Not just the 8 either, one time my 8 was in service and they gave me a 3 for a rental. The a/c was just as bad.

I love on the first page how the RX-8 won't have to worry about it getting stolen like a Honda.... Oh man, I laughed so hard about that.
And then there is the guy in the Mustang... 5.0. Those are just about the ugliest cars I have seen on the road. Oh well, everybody has their own little car they will defend to the death. Mine will be an 8 (when I get one).

after reading that it seems that the members of this forum show alot more honesty and general car knowledge then that forum. yeah we do love our cars but we won't hold high school lunch table discussions.
by the way good job from the intelligence community, our agents have penetrated far and deep into other forums , hush hush, the first rule of rx8club is that there is no rx8club

im on a lot of forums and to be honest rx8club is amongst the most mature forum out there. theres significantly less bashing of other cars on this forum compared to other ones. (if you only know what they say about the rx8 on eclipseforum ) of course theres a few sour apples that loves to bash other cars, but its a lot better than most sites.
