Hello. New to the Game
Hello There my name is Matt and I just joined this club. Unfortunately i am not an rx8 owner.....yet. I have been approved for my loan from the bank for this car and am doing some last minute homework. I have done all the basics knowing of couse the basics specs of the rx8 and the rotary engine and what to expect from it. The part where I am confused is what trim to get. I am looking into a 2007 one right now. I noticed the 3 different trims but now what one to have is the question. I am assuming that the grand touring is the whole package and the touring is next in like and the sport is just the base model. I am confused on what actually comes in the grand touring. From what i have seen it is leather seats and all of that but i care more about mechanical. I would obviously get the manual transmission but does the grand touring have the nice LSD in it or would that just be the touring. I have been searching the forums and i am just looking for a more clear understanding.
Thanks

Even the sport would have the lsd. I know in my sport I don't have leather seats(cloth) and I don't have the dsc or tcs buttons so it can be a bit touchy in the corners if I'm not careful. No sunrof, nav screen, or 6 disc cd player either.

First I'd like to say welcome to the forum and congrats on wanting an RX8!! below I posted two links that should help you. Now as for what I read before I bought mine all 04-up Manuals come with LSD, as part of the package. I also know that 07 had the 40th year with ungraded suspension and a new paint color package, along with a new style rim, that is now used on all 09 and up's.
Is 07 the year you have to purchase? 2006 was a good model year for them as well and might be a little cheaper. 04-05 some have motor issue, however I have an 04 and so far so good. I bought a GT model because it had all the options I wanted nav, heated seats, spoiler, fog lights, sunroof, etc.. I know it adds weight but that I am fine with as I use it to drive to work, along with small track usage. I recommended test driving the diff models and seeing what options you can live with out or can't.
