Hello there RX8 owners here's my story
Hey guys what's up, I'm new so I'd like some help with this site if possible. How do I manage my threads or keep track of specific posts. Also here's my story I hope it goes here.
I finally bought my 8 from a guy in Arkansas for 22K with 2818 miles on it on Dec 29th I drove it to ATL, then Charleston, SC to visit family and then all the way back to Cali. Its sweet and I love to keeping this well maintained. The handling is superb and has actually gotten me out of a major accident due to the great responsiveness. I'll write about that later. Everything runs perfect and I haven't had any problems. This is what I've found out. My car gets from 18-20 miles on 91octane. oil consumption is a bit less than my previous 7s. The dealor tried to rip me off with a smog check because they know but didn't tell me. I figured it out and saved quite a bit. I took it to a local smog place and the car passed but the obd didn't communicate. Well all the smog guys have to do is cancel that step since the 8 is incompatible as well as most mazdas. saved $80. There is a squeek in the brakes which I'm going to get checked out, hopefully its under warranty. Now all I'm looking for is some wheel spacers and a good MS kit. well that's my story for now. thanx for reading
