Help on a 2004 Rx8 Purchase Plz.

Hello I'm thinking of buying a 2004 Rx8 with 53,000 miles for $11,500. Price decent, or should i go lower? Also I'm not really to much familiar with the Rx8's so if someone could do a carfax for this vehicle and let me know what they think, I would greatly appriciate it. VIN JM1FE173940115705 And if i were to get a carfax myself, what am i looking for on the recalls? Should all of the 04's have the recalls done? Any information on this vehicle would help. Thank you.

yeah it should already have all of the recalls fixed by the dealership....and you could probably get a little bit lower of a price because 53k is good for an 04 but its not great. Also is it a A/T or M/T

with the extended warranty somewhere around 11k would be a good legit price for one with that milage as long as there isnt anything wrong with the vehicle.

Hey mscamp thanks for reply its a 6 speed. You said it SHOULD have the recalls done? Or did you look up the carfax for it? This car is not really being sold by a dealership, its more like a private seller. Thanks

No I dont have a carfax I was just assuming a dealership which means that they would have already been done

Oh wait, they send me a link I can share.

Here is the link: Carfax

I hope you don't mind me posting it here, but since you are still looking at it I figured it would be good for other 8 owners to see if any red flags pop up.

Well i got the car fax.....If it had some recalls done is it suppose to come out in the report? Only thing i see here out of ordinary maintenance is on 04/19/2004 Engine/powertrain computer/module reprogrammed. This comes out in the detailed history. I also have a question theres the NHTSA Safety recalls, what exactly am i looking for in this part? Thanks guys i really appropriate this help.

I just noticed it says in additional history " Manufacturer recall" No recalls were reported on all 3 owners....What does this mean? The recalls still need to be done on this vehicle? Thanks
