Help!!

this past weekend i took my car to the outer banks. well on the way back we had high winds and my nose cone of my car has been sandblasted to a flat black. what do i need to do? will a polish bring it back or am i going to have to paint?
Would this be something my insurance would cover?
the rest of the car looks to be ok, it's just the bottom front of the nose.

You have to re-paint.

Insurance covers it but your deductable is enough to cover the paint job.

300 bucks

try polish first. if it doesnt work just get the bumper repainted. personally I dont really care. mine is full of rock chips from driving on the interstate.

i figured i'd have to repaint. just didnt know if you guys had any magic tricks.

rock chips i can deal with, having my black car look like it's got a grey to black fade from the front to the hood is a little much.

oh well, lesson learned. no more outer banks trips for the 8.

another question, can i lightly touch up my oil coolers to bring them back to black or should i just leave them in their newly sand blasted aluminum?
