save a bit of cash and go with the Escort 8500 (x50 or prior gen model)...you'll get alot less false positives (which are rather annoying)

 

Actually, I've found just the opposite. I previously owned the x50 and I just bought the new V1 and surprisingly, the V1 falses noticibly less. The bogie counter and arrows make it well worth the money. Not that there's anything wrong with the Escort but having used both, I personally prefer the V1 and have no regrets spending $100 more on it. Truth is there's even a way to get a V1 for $359. So compared to the x50 blue at $339, it's really not that different in price.
