Alright, I've got an 07 Galaxy Gray RX8 and my friend just sold his truck and has found two rx8's, one is an 06 VR and the other is an 04 VR, both are 6speeds the 06 has black leather and the 04 has the red/black. They both have 30k on them. Its looking like the 06 is going to be out of his price range. But the 04 is right in his range. I know there are problems w/ the 04's, like the replacing engine thing. But other than that, is there anything else he needs to watch out for. I know he should ask about the latest flash and what not, but is there anything else? Thanks for the help guys, and yes I have searched. He's going to get it tom depending on what you guys say about the 04's. So any help is appreciated.

 

Check on the recalls, and see if there if it is still under the bumper-to-bumper warranty as some of the later production 04's still would be (4yr/50k miles). You'll have an extended powertrain for engine and transmission troubles (5yr/60k miles), but that doesn't cover all the little annoying stuff like broken sunvisors, lights that fill with water, etc.
