Pulling my hair out spent 400 on the part $50 to fit it and of Course 3 Mazda Dealers I spoke to Had no idea what the problem was I think it may be the cat but Dont want too spend 300 on the experiment if it is the rear o2..... My skids has done 86000kms and was owned by a 68yr old Dr and is by far the best 1 I have seen with full log Books PLEASE ANYONE can you help me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have the CEL read again. Likely something else but could be related to replacing the O2 sensor. Or it may be a simple gas cap/minor evap leak. If it came on right after start-up, evap leak is a good candidate because the ECU checks the fuel system pressure and compares to the last reading at shutdown. The cap gaskets don't always seat properly.

Just take it by autozone and get it checked out again. I had my 8 for 2k miles and the CEL came on due to a gas cap lid.
